My stay at the Portland Regency Hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, I appreciated the historic charm and great location in the heart of Portland, which made walking to local attractions a breeze. However, I faced issues like unexpected charges and ill-functioning facilities that really dampened the experience. The service also left a lot to be desired with some interactions feeling dismissive and unhelpful.

My stay at the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa was a mixed experience. The location is fantastic, perfectly placed near the vibrant Old Port area, making it easy to explore. but the service left much to be desired. The spa was nice, yet with limited hours, and I experienced some issues with room cleanliness that dampened the experience overall.

I found the Deluxe King Room spacious and comfortable, although the lighting was a bit dim for my liking. However, it lacked some basic features, like an in-room safe, which was curious for a hotel of its caliber.
Service

Unfortunately, my interactions with the staff were not great. I felt unwelcome at times and noticed a lack of engagement from the front desk. The coffee pod situation was subpar, and I had to seek out help for basic requests, which shouldn't be the case at a hotel.

The location is excellent for anyone visiting Portland for the first time. it's close to restaurants and shops, allowing for easy strolls through the historic areas — a definite highlight of my stay!

Dining in the hotel restaurant was a bit of a letdown. The meals were overpriced and not very impressive. I expected more for the price I paid, especially since I had high hopes for the dining experience.

While the facilities, like the spa area, were decent, the hours were quite restricted. I had difficulty utilizing the amenities because they weren't open when I was available. Overall, they could improve significantly on operational hours.
